After thirty years of enjoying the smells, textures, grain patterns, and potentials of wood working as a hobby, our family has convinced us that there are many people out there who would also enjoy and treasure the various boxes we build.

The Melannde Box Shop specializes in finely fitted and finished heirloom quality boxes built to be treasured by your family for many generations. Whether you choose one of the many boxes we have on our shelves or a 'one of a kind' custom order, we offer quality and an unusual interest in customer satisfaction.

Each new box begins with carefully selected kiln dried domestic or exotic hardwood that is acclimated in a humidity controlled environment for months. We use rabbet, spline, locking, biscuit, box and other jointing techniques to ensure long-lasting well fitted joints. Lacquer and hand rubbed oil finishes are standard with our boxes. We also offer painted finishes from crackle to glass smooth and color matching as a special order.
