Despite Mel's flu (which I hope is long past), you managed not only to make the promised Christmas delivery but to apply the oil finish, despite the fact that I had specifically agreed to let you substitute the less time-consuming lacquer finish if you found yourself contrained for time.

The box is breathtakingly beautiful; the maple with walnut trim combination is classically elegant, and I was especially taken with the beautiful grain of the maple, though I had not ordered a specially figured variety.
